Build the fire in your Weber to one side. This allows you to move your grill subjects around from direct to indirect heat, or hold done items to the side while you take care of other grilling. Use the addition of the top to "bake" when needed.

These T-Bones are just taking a little rest before dinner. Since the fire is still pretty hot, rest them bone-side toward the heat. |

Tenderloins, marked over the heat then moved, finish up as the asparagus grill. |
-Alex who wants to help you deliver the delicious.
You, my friend, are a wealth of information.
ReplyDeleteThough I often suffer from overdraft fees.
DeleteI'm still debating between traeger and egg. Got a house, grill decision is imminent. Please advise.
ReplyDeleteThat Traeger looked pretty fucking sweet... but Egg rolls a little more oldschool. Tough decision.
DeleteWait a minute! I thought Alex was a peace loving vegan? Is the carne for someone else and the rabbit food for Alex?
ReplyDeleteAll this talk about eggs makes me want to make some scrambled eggs for lunch with some pieces of beef jerky in them and some hot sauce all over it. Mmmmm, beef jerky.
Beef jerky in scrambled is an extremely manly behavior, but culinarily I may suggest something that takes a little less mastication effort... maybe a nice sauteed pork chop to accompany those eggs and hot sauce?
DeleteHow long does the asparagus grill for?
ReplyDeleteIts pretty quick maybe 3-4 min if the grill is hot. Coat with olive oil, salt and pepper and roll them around to get good marking, you can tell when they start to get floppy.
DeleteThanks Alex.
DeleteDefinitely going to give the "food of kings" a shot on the "food burning device"
Looks like a steak and asparagus dinner in my immediate future.
So, managed to scrounge up some change for some cheap "steaks", and, some asparagus.
ReplyDeleteNo meat left, no asparagus left, still got some potatoes. Guess we prefer protein over carbs.
